SeReNe (Self-Regulation Network) is an international research network funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). It brings together around twenty leading scholars in the field of self-regulation, along with numerous junior researchers, who meet once or twice a year to advance both theory and practice of fostering self-regulated learning.
Within the network, collaborative research projects are developed – for example, our current work on teachers’ diagnostic competence in the area of self-regulation. The outcomes feed into academic publications that further strengthen theoretical perspectives, as well as into practical materials designed for educators. At present, we are preparing a set of FAQs on promoting self-regulation in the classroom, making cutting-edge expertise directly accessible to educational practice.
Through this combination of scientific excellence and practical relevance, SeReNe helps ensure that international research insights translate into meaningful impact for schools and teachers.
